We are heading to Iowa in just 2 days. I'm pretty excited. Our first family vacation! My mom is flying out today, then Todd, Jess & the boys will be there the 22nd & my aunt & cousin will be there the 27th I believe. I haven't seen my family from Iowa in like 4 years so it will be nice. Plus everyone gets to meet Richard & Aubry! We will be there from the 15th until the 2nd. Then Aubry gets her brace off on the 3rd! I'm hoping Aubry does good flying. She does well in the car, but she will be on my lap for the plane ride, so hopefully it will go okay. I'll have to bring a few toys to keep her entertained. It's only about a 3 hour flight, so hopefully it wont be too bad.
Well we are supposed to be having Richard's friend's son take all of the puppies up to Phoenix some time this weekend & sell them for us. I am happy because they poop all over & eat SO much, but I will be sad to see them go..But I don't think it will take me long to get over it. HA! That sounds mean. Today I had to pour water on 2 of them 2 different times because they were fighting so bad & wouldn't stop. The first time I pulled them apart like 3 times & they acted like they were going to bite me, which was kinda funny because they're so small still, & the second time they were holding on so tight I couldn't pull them apart. Crazy dogs! What could they have to fight about?! Haha! Oh well, they will be gone soon & then I wont have to worry about them.
So 2 nights ago Aubry was eating dinner, being good, & she started grunting. So I look over & she is shoving a piece of CORN up her nose!! So I got that one out, then looked in to see if there was any more, & what do you know?! THERE WAS! So I had to pin her down & kinda sit on her & dig it out with tweezers. I was laughing so hard, but also frustrated. haha. She's so weird!!! But I love her! <3 Today she played outside a lot with the pups. She loves them. She calls them babies. She's changing so much every day lately. It's like she takes a nap & I go wake her up after 2 hours & she looks different. She's growing up WAY too fast!!!
Well, it turns out getting my wisdom teeth surgically removed wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I didn't do anything dumb when I was waking up, anyway, like I was worried about. Ha! I was soo nervous going in. I remember the surgeon giving me like 5 shots in my IV & then finally he said "you're going to start to relax now" & I don't remember more than like a minute after that! I guess I was talking though, I made Richard give me a kiss before he had to leave the room. Next thing I knew, I was waking up & asking where my husband was. I remember I was pissed because my whole face was numb, & I didn't like that. & I wanted to see my teeth! haha!! And I wanted Richard. I must have asked for him 10 times before they let him come in the room. Then off I went! About an hour or so after, the numbing wore off where the teeth were missing from, & THAT hurt! But it was still numb up front, & I hated that!! But all in all, it really wasn't as bad as I expected. & I'm so happy they are finally out! Now if I could just eat normal! Maybe I'll lose some weight in this whole recovery time ;)
Aubry's appointment with the surgeon was Monday at 11:30. I went in with the worst thoughts in my head, of course. Because every time I have ever gone in that stupid place thinking positive I have left crying my eyes out! So I went in thinking that he was going to tell us she needed surgery. I was set on it. Richard probably thought the same thing. They did the x-ray, which to us looked good, like she would be fine if they were to take the brace off again, then they had us wait for the surgeon. It didn't take long before he came in. He was super nice & GREAT with Aubry. He told us her hips are at 26 & 29 degrees, (normal is 25) & that he never does surgery unless they are 35 or higher. He also said that with what hers are at, she should be fine to have the brace off in about 5 weeks & NO SURGERY!!!! =D Oh I wanted to do cartwheels!!! Richard & I were both EXTREMELY happy, as you can imagine!! So, it looks like our little princess is safe! Today we took her to have her brace adjusted, so it would stop rubbing on her thighs & leaving such awful marks & hurting her. They gave us a whole new brace. Same style, just one size up. The guy also stitched extra Velcro on so that the foam wouldn't slide around like it did before. & No part of the straps touch her legs now, so there should be no problems. She can't walk as well in this one, her legs are further apart. But she will figure it out, I have no doubt in my mind. We are just so so so happy that she does not need surgery!! <3 Well, I think that is all for the updates for now!
So I had my Scentsy Launch Party, & it went pretty well. I sold more than I expected. I also sold a lot online. I'm pretty proud of myself. ;) I got a lot of free stuff & half priced stuff, I'm excited for that as well. So all in all, so far I am very happy I signed up to sell Scentsy.
I'm getting my wisdom teeth surgically removed on the 18th. I'm kind of nervous about it. I've never been put to sleep for anything before. Eeekk!! But I'm happy they will be out & not hurting me anymore. I should have gotten them out a long time ago. Richard says when I wake up he is going to record me & put it on youtube if I do silly things. I told him it's only okay if he sends it to the Ellen show. Haha! Aubry's next appointment is just 3 days after I get my teeth out. We will meet with the surgeon this time. I'm more nervous about that than anything. That he will tell us she needs surgery. I want to ask him to put her in a different brace. I like that she can walk better & everything in this one, but the straps rub on her thighs & she was getting blood blisters, then it turned into a scab & fell off, & now it's like getting infected. I've been putting medicine on it. The other night was really hard for me because I knew she was in pain, she didn't even want me to touch the spot on her thigh, but I needed to put medicine on it....I had to pin her down & do it while she was screaming "no! no! no! no!" the whole time & crying. So then of course I was crying. I felt so bad, like I was hurting my poor baby. Once it was all one & over with I picked her up & she gave me a huge hug & kiss while I was crying..then she brought me one of her baby dolls & gave me another kiss. She's amazing. I just don't think it's fair that she has to wear the brace period, but for her to be in pain from it? Not fair at all. I will refuse to leave the doctor's office until they agree to give her a brace that wont cause her any pain. Or at least wont give her blisters. Poor girl. :(
Other than that things are going well. We just had another trip to Safford (for the Launch Party). While we were there we had Katie watch Aubry for the night & Matt & E got a sitter for their girls & we went out with a few friends. It is still hard to leave Aubry over night with anyone. But we had a good time. Probably too much of a good time, but I wont embarrass myself by putting all the details on here hahaha! The next day Richard, me, Matt, Elicia & all the girls went to fry mesa. It was fun & nice to get out for a while. The kids had fun. But on the way back Richard decided he needed to try to climb a giant rock with me in the jeep (Aubry rode with Matt & E),& he almost rolled it!!! On to MY side!!! Mind you, this jeep has no doors, no top, nothing. It has a roll bar, or cage, whatever, but I would have literally smacked right onto the rocks!! It was fun up until that point. All I could think was "Elicia, please cover Aubry's eyes so she doesn't see mommy get hurt!!" Igh, my crazy husband! :) I still love him, though. Even if he did try to kill me! haha. I suppose that is all of my random updates for now!
Well as of today I am now selling Scentsy products. I'm super excited! I love their products so I'm really, really excited to sell it. It will be nice to have the extra money too, of course. :) I am having my Launch Party next Saturday (March 5th) at my mom's house. I'm a little nervous. I'm sure it will go fine though. I just hope people actually go. I would love to get some people who wanted to host their own party. Hopefully I will. I'm sure it will all go great & I'll be really happy. I've also been giving people my website info so they could order that way. So hopefully even if they don't go, they could order something.
Aubry has a little bit of a cold & she felt like she had a fever tonight. :( Hopefully her cold wont turn onto anything more. I'll just have to keep an eye on her. It seems like she always gets sick when Richard goes on nights. This time I blame it on this stupid weather. It's so back & forth. And ANNOYING! I can't stand it. You never know what it's going to be like. Super hot, freezing cold, rainy, snowy, windy. Ugh! So irritating. Haha.
Marilyn's puppies are getting big. I will have to take some pictures tomorrow & post them. They are so cute! I don't want to get rid of any of them! But I also can't imagine having all 8 of them! We'd go broke from dog food!
The other night Richard & I were wresting on the couch, kind of picking at each other, which isn't abnormal for the 2 of us, & Aubry was eating in her high chair which is right behind the couch.. Well she started yelling at us "STOP!" & pointing. It was so funny. The things she does sometimes. She's our entertainment.
Richard is extremely spoiled & now has a ps3. What did my brother Todd have to say about this? "IT'S ABOUT TIME!" haha! I honestly don't see a point in having 2 different game systems...but the blu ray on that thing is amazing!! Watching it on a 62 inch T.V. made it even better I think. I wanted to watch movies all night!
My dentist appointment was disappointing. I thought I'd be able to get my teeth pulled the next day. Nope. They are all growing weird, & one of them is impacted & growing totally the wring way & pushing on the tooth in front of it. Anyway, our dentist wouldn't pull them & now I have to go see an oral surgeon & get all 4 of them pulled at once. Which will be nice because I wont have to go back. I'm just irritated because they hurt & I want them out!! My eye appointment went well, though. I picked out some super cute glasses that should be in in about a week. I can't wait to get them. I haven't had glasses in a really long time.
Okay so this post was just kind of random little things, but I felt like typing them out. So there ya go world! :)
Okay, I am pretty new to this blogging thing so be patient haha. Let's see, we just got back from a trip to Safford for Elicia's Pampered Chef party. It was pretty fun. I wanted to order every single thing!
Aubry & I went up & saw my mom, as usual :) I worry about her since Jon passed...I don't know what I'd do in her situation.
We also saw my dad & Ida this visit. Aubry had a really good time with my dad. It was nice to see her play with him. We don't see him often. There's usually some kind of family drama going on with Evan & Kathryn. Which there is right now too, but I went over anyway. They weren't there, so it was good. I went over during the day, while Richard went out playing in the mud with Matt. He's crazy haha. He came over after & had dinner.
Tomorrow we have to go back to Safford for a dentist appointment & eye appointments. I'm not really looking forward to that.
Aubry is getting so big. It's weird, some days I get up in the morning to get her out of bed, & it seems like she changed over night. She looks more & more like Richard every day. She's getting smart too. She fell off the couch the other day (she was head banging of course, & fell forward) & she got a huge knot on her forehead & it bruised right away. She made me hug her & kiss it, then brought me her tylenol & looked at me like "Mommy, I have a head ache now, fix it." haha. She's still not talking too much, but I know she can & that she completely understands. She just chooses not to talk I guess.
We go back next month for a check up on her hips, & meet the surgeon this time. I'm really nervous for this visit. I don't want her to get surgery. Hopefully she wont need to. But the fact that Dr, Udall told us we had to start seeing the surgeon is very scary to me. The brace isn't fun at all, but if it could fix it 100% for good, I would be soo happy. Richard & I both would. He worries too, but I think he tries to just be strong for me. Just gotta keep thinking positive!
